Science in my Youth

I’ve been always interested on how things work. My fascination with space and mechanics has always drawn me to build things with anything that I could use, from plastic blocks to Lego Mindstorm and more recently 3D printing.

My interest in space also started early with space books I would pick from the library when my mom would take me there, and when my dad bought a telescope for me and my brother.

I like robots mainly because it is so cool to create things that can do similar actions than humans. It is mind-blowing to me that I can create such things with technology.

I like to tinker and work on mini-projects with the 3D printer we have at home. My most intensive projects are under the projects page.

I also used the 3D printer to print mask holders that I donated to the local hospitals. I thought that at least I can contribute to help the fight against the pandemic by supporting our health workers.

But the Mandalorian Head I did for father’s day was one of my masterpieces. I custom modified a Mandalorian design I found in the internet to host a Google Home Mini as part of the head. I spray painted the parts to looks like the Mandalorian color. My Dad loved it and he uses it in his desk to listen music and get weather info! It took me several weeks to figure it out all the details but I was so very proud of this and it looks awesome!!
